Who We Are
Feeding Northeast Florida is committed to creating a region where everyone has access to healthy food. We use food as a catalyst to strengthen lives and communities.
What We Do
What to Expect:
For our Food Sorting or Packing Food Boxes volunteer opportunity, you'll help us inspect and sort through donated dry goods, meat, or produce before they get distributed to our neighbors in need. You also might help with our Snack Pack program, in which you will pack bags of nutritionally dense, delicious, and easy-to-prepare meal options for children in public schools. Snack Packs are intended to be take-home bags during the weekends and breaks, where they will otherwise be missing the meals provided at school. The type of project is decided on by the needs of the food bank.
Qualifications:
- Ability to stand or walk for 2-3 hours at a time.
- Ability to lift 10-30 pounds.
Age Requirements:
Minimum age of 10 is required for our warehouse shifts. Minors must have a waiver signed by their guardian.
Attire:
Please wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing as our warehouse is not climate controlled. Closed-toe/closed-heel shoes are required. No crocs, flip-flops or sandals. No loose jewelry or headphones allowed while working.
